ECHOES OF THE SOUL

ECHOES OF THE SOUL                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Have you ever had the feeling of wanting to do something, something you can't quite put your finger on? It's not loud, just more like a soft nudge or a quiet intuition. Or am I just alone? Lately, I've been trying to pay attention to the feeling. To sit with it. To listen. Not to fix it, just to be with it. Because maybe that soft, nameless whisper is the beginning of something. Maybe it's the soul echoing back to me.

Within each one of us, there is an echo that speaks beyond the noise of the world. These are echoes of the soul. They are the whispers of our inner truth, faint yet persistent nudges. These echoes don't tell us what to do, but they remind us of who we are.

I'm not writing this from a place of having it all figured out, but from a place of trying to figure it out too. This post isn't a map. It's me sharing what I'm learning as I learn it, because maybe you are feeling those whispers too.  I know most of us have been trying to figure ourselves out, to understand who we are, what we want, and where we are meant to go. And honestly, I don't think any of us is alone in that search.

But lately I've started to believe that maybe self-discovery doesn't begin with answers or a radical change. Maybe it begins here with the echo. Noticing that small, soft voice within us. Maybe it's the beginning. The beginning of coming home to ourselves. The beginning of walking toward a life that feels like truth.                                                                                                     So, how do we begin to listen? It's not always easy in a world that's constantly loud, filled with expectations, distractions, and noise. It's about slowing down, tuning in, and making space. Instead of reaching for your phone first thing in the morning, sit in silence, even for just five minutes, and let your thoughts arrive without judgment.                                                       Sometimes take a walk without your phone, sit in stillness, and that’s how the soul will speak to you, only when the noise dies down. Practicing journaling is another way you can create space. Of all the practices, the one that has worked best for me is journaling. It's not always neat or structured. Some days it’s a single sentence; other days it's pages of scattered thoughts😭. But every time I put pen to paper, something within me softens, and something honest starts to speak. It helps clear the surface noise and reach the deep layers. The unfiltered words often carry deeper truths we don’t realize we are holding.

Making room for emotions also creates space for the soul to echo. Allow yourself to feel what you feel. Don’t rush to explain it away. Sometimes the echo comes as emotions: sadness, restlessness, joy.  Emotions are messengers, not mistakes.

Also, meditation allows us to hear our inner voice more clearly. It isn’t about silencing the mind completely; it's about creating enough stillness to notice what's already there. I know most of us move through our days surrounded by noise, worries, plans, memories, and distractions from our thoughts. Meditation gives us a moment to pause and listen.  It brings us to the now, not the past we regret or the future we fear. And this inner voice doesn't live in “someday”. It speaks in the present.  It whispers the truth that is meant for this moment, and meditation helps us to hear it.

If you are trying to connect to your inner self, meditation can be of great use. All the answers are deep within us, and the only thing we need to do is tap into our inner selves. Those voices can act as our guidance and serve as a great starting point.

While learning to listen to myself and create space, I came across a book that truly shifted everything for me: “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. It wasn't just insightful, it was awakening. This book helped me realize how often we are living in our freaking heads😭. We are stuck in stories, regrets, fears, pain, or plans, and missing the now, the only place where life, truth, and soul exist. And when we become fully present, we begin to hear the echoes more clearly. It's in the presence that the soul speaks loudest.

As I conclude, that inner voice, however quiet, however uncertain, is there for a reason. I believe God put those feelings, desires for a reason. They are not just speaking to be heard but to guide you. Don’t wait until you are ready or everything makes sense. Take one small brave step. Remember, every time you listen and take action, you take one step closer to becoming the person you were always meant to be.

You are not lost. You are not behind. You are exactly where you need to be to begin. There is power in you😊. There is a purpose in you, and your soul already knows the way. You just have to listen and trust what you hear. Remember, you create your reality.💗
